Today I sat with 3 other students and went over orientation at Bloc. It took 30 minutes to go through the material. MOST of the material that they covered in orientation was openly available on their website already. They did make it a point to drive home a few key points. It's Up To You! This makes total sense to me and I think it is sad that they have to include it and drive the concept home. But I am sure that someone at some point said something about not knowing it was up to them to learn to code. You have to do the work. Yes they will be there to help but at the end of the day no one from Bloc is going to go sit with you at your job and help you out. Why not get started with that concept early on, accept it and move on. Be Professional They said to remain professional at all times. The example used was to not show up to your mentor meeting in your pajamas. Again, I am sure this has happened before. I intend to take this seriously and besides, who wears pajamas anymore? ...
